Data leak focused on police records – DICT

THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) expressed belief that the supposed leaked documents were records from the Philippine National Police (PNP) database which may have compromised the information of 1.2 million employees and applicants.

DICT Secretary Ivan Uy said the incident was not tagged by the National Computer Emergency Response Program (NCERP) as a data breach even after it was reported to the agency in March.
