MORE than one month after an oil tanker sank in the waters of Oriental Mindoro, the fisherfolk in the municipality of Pola continue to suffer losses in income and livelihood.

Mayor Jennifer ''Ina Alegre'' Cruz of Pola said that the oil spill caused an estimated loss of P130 million per day. She also said that 4,800 fisherfolk and their families have been affected by the fishing ban.
