SENATORS on Monday urged the government to map out a contingency plan to ensure the safety of over 150,000 Filipino workers in Taiwan amid the building tension between Beijing and Taipei.

They made the proposal following the "threatening" remarks of Chinese Ambassador to Manila Huang Xilian on the relationship between the Philippines and the United States.
