TWO weather systems – easterlies and localized thunderstorms – will affect large parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.

Pagasa said the easterlies or winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean bring warm and humid weather, particularly affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
