Governance commission defers DFPC restructuring

The Governance Commission for Government-Owned and -Controlled Corporations (GCG) has approved the deferral of a Duty Free Philippines Corp. (DFPC) restructuring plan that would mean the retrenchment of many employees.

In a statement issued during the weekend, the GCG said that it had approved DFPC's request to postpone the execution of the restructuring plan for 60 days beginning March 15, 2023.
