THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is optimistic about hitting this year's P2.6-trillion revenue target with annual income tax payments said to have already returned to pre-pandemic levels.
"We are doing our best, and we are confident that we will be able to attain our collection target for this year, especially with all the activities we have in line for the year," BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. said in a briefing on Friday.
