BoC ramps up anti-smuggling drive

THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) intensified its anti-smuggling campaign in the first quarter of 2023 with the filing of 65 criminal complaints with the Department of Justice.

Most of the complaints focused on agricultural items, with the rest were on gasoline, food, cigarettes, general merchandise and used apparel.
