Marcos defers LRT fare hike

(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday ordered the Department of Transportation (DoTr) to defer an earlier approved fare increase for train lines Light Rail Transit 1 and LRT-2, taking into account its 'economic impact' on commuters.

The fare adjustment for another train line, the MRT-3, was also deferred 'due to infirmities in complying with requirements and procedure.'
