PBA commissioner Willy Marcial said seeing the pro league turn 48 on Easter Sunday is quite a feat and a huge blessing considering the waves of challenges the cage loop experienced since its inception in 1975.

For someone who practically grew up in the PBA, starting as statistician in 1983 during the time of esteemed league commissioner Leo Prieto, Marcial admitted that the key to the pro league's longevity has always been the fans.
