CAUAYAN CITY: Eight experts from the United States government have been continuously supporting the oil spill response operations of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Pola, Oriental Mindoro at the request of the Philippine government, the US Embassy said in a statement.
Five members of the US Coast Guard's (USCG) National Strike Force assessed the affected areas to determine the most effective method and equipment to contain and clean up the oil spill from the sunken tanker MT Princess Empress, the embassy added.
