DR Congo soldiers tried for killing political activists

Lubumbashi, DR Congo: Two soldiers in DR Congo appeared in court Friday (Saturday in Manila) accused of killing party activists in the southern city of Lubumbashi, an Agence France-Presse (AFP) journalist reported.

The National Union of Congolese Federalists (Unafec) party said last week that 'commandos' had killed over 25 of its activists during a meeting held on a bridge in the city on March 24.
