QUEZON CITY Mayor Maria Josefina "Joy" Belmonte on Friday announced that the local government has partnered with the newly created Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), to protect the rights of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families, especially those based in the city.

Belmonte told The Manila Times that she and DMW Secretary Susan Ople met last week and signed a memorandum of agreement held at the Quezon City Hall.
