Catholics waiting for the Lord's resurrection

THE final day of the season of Lent ends today, Holy Saturday, with millions of Catholics around the country waiting for the Lord's resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday.

Fr. Jerome Secillano, the executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Permanent Committee on Public Affairs, said that Catholics should spend Black Saturday in reflection and thanksgiving on the passion and death of Christ in anticipation of his resurrection.
