A magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook Masbate province late Thursday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs chief Teresito "Toto" Bacolcol told The Manila Times that the tremor happened around 5:17 p.m., some 13 kilometers northeast of the city of Masbate.
