DAVAO CITY: Davao del Norte Gov. Edwin Jubahib demanded the immediate stoppage of the operation of the Northern Davao Electric Cooperative (Nordeco), citing the power company's continued incompetence, negligence and blatant disregard for the well-being of the people of the province.

'Today, I am issuing a powerful, unequivocal statement demanding the immediate cessation of Nordeco's operations, which have been marred by incompetence, negligence, and a blatant disregard for the well-being of the people of Davao del Norte,' Jubahib said in a statement.
