CHR condemns NPA's use of IEDs in Masbate

LEGAZPI, Albay: A week after communist guerrillas launched a series of attacks in the island province of Masbate, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) strongly condemned the New People's Army (NPA) for using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that detonated near a public elementary school, leaving two soldiers and a minor wounded.

In a statement issued by the CHR on Monday, the commission underscored that schools are zones of peace.
