NAGUILIAN, Isabela: The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Isabela will tap the services of the National Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies in tracking down online traders and social media influencers in a bid to intensify the tax implementation.
Revenue District Officer Roberto Gazzingan of BIR-Isabela told the Manila Times that they have a hard time exacting taxes on social media influencers, so they are coordinating with other government agencies to help them. The intensified law enforcement will be after the Lenten Season, he added.
