RECENTLY, the Philippines opted for 'disengaging' from the International Criminal Court, after the ICC's Appeals Chamber denied Manila's request to suspend the probe. President Marcos Jr. stated that the country cannot work with the ICC, due to its interference in the 'sovereignty of the Republic.'
