Amid the extrusive and exciting news blitz from here to America and back that Californian-born half-Filipino Hollywood star Vanessa Hudgens has officially been named Philippine Global Tourism Ambassador, there appear to be but a few quarters on the home ground who are not quite thrilled by the development. Needless to say, the sentiments of the disenchanted are expressed on social media and collectively seem to question the world-famous' celebrity's capacity for the role. It matters to them that Hudgens' appointment also marks her first-ever visit to the Philippines.

Conceivably unfazed if she knew about the social media murmurings at all, she effectively and, more importantly, rationally addressed the issue anyway.
