Toll operator braces for bigger Holy Week traffic volume

BIÑAN CITY, Laguna: Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corp., is gearing up in preparation for the influx of motorists for the five-day long weekend holiday from April 6 to April 10, 2023.

The toll road operator anticipates a 10 percent to 15 percent increase in traffic volume along its high-speed road networks, from an average of 160,000 daily travelers in the Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex), 16,000 in Cavitex C5 Link and 34,000 in Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax), with many people looking to travel to their hometowns or take a short break.
