THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said it had helped nearly 20,000 people in provinces hit by a recent oil spill, as part of its cash-for-work (CFW) program.
DSWD Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez said in a recorded video interview with The Manila Times that the CFW has helped 19,895 individuals in three provinces.
