Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone bared the good news to Gin Kings fans that veteran big man Japeth Aguilar is 'getting closer' to rejoin the team as he recovers from an MCL (medial collateral ligament) knee sprain he sustained early in the 2022-23 PBA Governors' Cup.

The American mentor said the 6-foot-9 Aguilar has started doing on-court activities, but not yet the five-on-five scrimmages, as the shot-blocking slot man works his way back to shape since sustaining the injury in the team's elimination round match against NLEX early last February.
