THE public was recently gripped by the news that went viral of a young lady who was offloaded and missed her flight owing to the lengthy and "irrelevant" questioning by the Bureau of Immigration (BI). In a TikTok post, she said that among the things she was asked to produce were a copy of her yearbook and an essay about her employment. The social media community was not too kind with its comments, and it spurred the public to share other similar horror stories of being offloaded and held unnecessarily by BI processes and questioning in the past.
