Declare ex-WHO official persona non grata, govt urged

A former lawmaker called on the government to declare a former official of the World Health Organization persona non grata for his racist comments against his Manila-based staff.

Former Deputy Speaker Deogracias Victor 'DV' Savellano, who represented the first district of Ilocos Sur during the 18th Congress, said that Dr. Takeshi Kasai, WHO's regional director in the Western Pacific who was recently fired from his Manila post, should be banned from the country.
