The 28-man pool for Gilas has already been released, and the composition is varied. Players who were ineligible for FIBA due to the 16-year old passport rule but are legitimate Fil-foreigners are allowed.
Players from the B-League (who are staples in Gilas) and the Korean Basketball League (which the SBP is ignoring–big mistake!) will not be available because their league is ongoing. The PBA is running its semifinals and the Finals after that, with two SMC and two MVP teams. These are the teams which heavily contributed to the core of the last Gilas iterations.
