Diokno backs condonation of ARB debts

FINANCE Secretary Benjamin Diokno is fully supportive of Congress' recent ratification of a bicameral report condoning the unpaid debts of agrarian reform beneficiaries to help them cope with persistently high inflation in the country.

The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines ratified on March 22, 2023 the bicameral report on the disagreeing provisions of Senate Bill 1850 and House Bill 6336, otherwise known as the 'New Agrarian Emancipation Act.'
