THE United States government is set to send assets and personnel from its Coast Guard and Air Force to help in the Mindoro oil spill clean up, Malacañang said Sunday.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the US Coast Guard and some of its air assets and the Air Force's C-5, it largest and strategic airlifter, are expected to arrive in the country "in the following days to ramp up efforts to clean the massive oil spill in the waters of Mindoro.
