Muntinlupa thumps Laguna, gains share of MPBL lead

Muntinlupa sustained a strong second half run with a 70-62 trouncing of Laguna on Friday to gain a share of the lead in the OKBet-Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Banking on Ichie Altamirano, King Destacamiento and Ian Melencio, the Muntinlupa Cagers surged ahead, 50-40, in the third period and repulsed repeated rallies by Laguna to preserve the win.
