An inspired Barangay Ginebra led by big man Christian Standhardinger got off to a sizzling start before holding off San Miguel Beer's fourth-quarter rally to pull off a 121-112 win in Game One of their PBA Governors' Cup semifinals duel on Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Dedicating the game and the rest of the semis series to veteran playmaker LA Tenorio, who announced on Tuesday he is battling a stage 3 colon cancer, the Gin Kings took control early and led by 15 in the opening half behind Standhardinger's 18 points.
