Marcos calls for solidarity as Ramadan begins

(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday joined the Muslim world in celebrating the start of the holy month of Ramadan by urging the country to uphold human dignity and stand in solidarity.

'This season of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving is an opportune time to embody the values of discipline, reverence and humility,' Marcos said.
