Petro Gazz defeated PLDT, 25-17, 25-23, 25-15, for a 2-1 victory in their best-of-three semifinals series in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday, March 23, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Jonah Sabete dropped 13 points on 11 attacks, one block and one ace laced with six digs to take the Player of the Game honors and lead the Angels, who set up a Finals rematch against the defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers in another best-of-three series.
