AS the PBA heads for an extended off-season to give way for the participation of the Gilas Pilipinas national men's basketball team in various international tournaments, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said players from various teams will be touring the countryside starting in May.
Marcial said that while a select group of PBA players will be drafted to play for Gilas in the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia, the FIBA World Cup here in the country and the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, the rest of the league will have a busy off-season, hitting the road and playing before fans in various provinces.
