Palace defends Marcos decision to allow sale of smuggled sugar in Kadiwa stores

MALACAÑANG on Tuesday justified the decision of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. to allow 4,000 metric tons (MT) of smuggled sugar to be sold in Kadiwa Centers across the country.

In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the Chief Executive had ordered for the smuggled sugar to be sold at the same mill gate price which is currently at P70 per kilo.
