IF WE only focus on making things easy, low-cost, practical and simple to do, problems could be solved in no time at all. So why are we talking about problems without seeing, or recommending, obvious solutions without fear of rejection by the authorities?A case in point involves the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which is often labeled "one of the worst airports in the world." Early this year, the NAIA suffered "a severe power outage" that resulted in the cancellation, diversion, and delay of 361 flights to and from Manila. Around 65,000 international and domestic travelers were adversely affected.

Another recent case is that of a Thai tourist who complained that two Office of Transportation Security (OTS) personnel had stolen cash from him. The incident, caught on camera, went viral and the two OTS screeners are reportedly facing criminal charges.
