Debt servicing up 7.4%, hits P1.29T in 2022

The national government's debt servicing rose at the end of last year due to higher interest payments and amortization charges, data released by the Bureau of the Treasury showed.

Debt payments totaled P1.29 trillion in 2022, 7.4 percent higher compared to 2021's P1.20 trillion in 2021.
