Lawmaker takes 2-month leave

(UPDATE) NEGROS Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. has filed for a two-month leave of absence for security reasons amid calls from the House of Representatives for him to come home and face the charges filed against him in connection with the killing of Gov. Roel Degamo.

In a letter addressed to House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Teves vowed to return once the threat to himself and his family has been 'dealt with.'
