BACOLOD CITY: The Provincial Tourism Office is optimistic and hopeful that Negros Occidental will surpass the 500,000 tourist arrivals target set by the Department of Tourism (DoT) for this year, Cheryl Decena, provincial tourism officer, said.
Decena said that last year, the province was able to surpass the 350,000 target set by the DoT for overnight tourists, both domestic and foreign, who visited the different tourist destinations in the province.
