PAL optimistic of strong recovery this year

PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) on Wednesday said it was expecting a 'strong' recovery this year as it planned to take back some of the aircraft it relinquished during a Chapter 11 restructuring.

'We are expecting a continuing strong market recovery so there are plans in place to enhance and upgrade our fleet,' PAL Director Lucio Tan 3rd said during a media luncheon.
