Senate grills PDEA over '30% reward' of seized drugs to informants

THE Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs on Wednesday grilled Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo to come up with more information on its alleged practice of allegedly paying thirty percent of the confiscated drugs to law enforcement assets or informants after successful seizures.

Sen. Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa, who presided over the committee's hearing, said that the PDEA chief was in a position to get to the bottom of such practice.
