Nueva Ecija, Bulacan win season openers in MPBL

Defending champion Nueva Ecija and Bulacan opened the fifth season of the OKBet-Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) with separate victories at the Star Arena in Baliwag, Bulacan on Monday night.

The Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards demolished the Laguna Heroes, 97-70, while the Bulacan Kuyas banked on the heroics of Levi Dela Cruz to upset the Sarangani Marlins, 75-73.
