COTABATO CITY: The International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are to stop together child labor in five southern provinces where employing children as combatants is a long-time tradition, too.
Two representatives of the ILO — Yasuo Ariga, a Japanese, and Bharati Pflug, an Indian-German — and BARMM labor officials reached a consensus on Thursday, March 9, to collaborate in addressing both problems besetting the autonomous region.
