Quezon edges Negros, Bataan drops Rizal in MPBL opener

The Quezon Huskers clawed back from a deep hole to defeat the Negros Muscovados, 82-80, and join the Bataan Risers in the early lead in the OKBet-Maharlika PiIipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Season 5 at the Quezon Convention Center on Saturday in Lucena City.

Trailing by as many as 16 points, 14-30, in the first half, the Huskers rallied to seize the lead at 79-78 and frustrate the Muscovados, who appeared to be in control of the game and heading for a victory.
