Embassies to provide immigration updates

FOREIGN residents and visitors are expected to get quick and easy access to information on immigration matters following the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoA) between the Philippine government and a group representing Manila-based foreign diplomats and consular officials.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the BI (Bureau of Immigration) and Consular Corps of the Philippines (CCP) signed a MoA on February 22 creating a more open exchange of information, and faster procedures in assisting foreigners who need assistance.
