Sixty in the City

THAT is the title of the collection of essays by the late writer and my good friend, Lualhati Bautista. I am borrowing it as the title for this column that deals with my passage into senior citizenship two weeks from now.

As the poet Andrew Marvell said, 'And at my back I always hear/Time's winged chariot hurrying near.' 'Where did the years go?' some senior citizens might ask.
