PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Friday urged the country's scientists and experts to continue enhancing their fields of expertise as he highlighted the important role of science in battling the pandemic.

In his speech during the 2023 Annual Scientific Conference and 90th General Membership Assembly of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) in Pasay City, Marcos acknowledged the role of scientists in curbing the coronavirus and its adverse effects to the society, especially on the discovery of the vaccine against Covid-19.
