AYALA Corp.'s core net income grew by 18 percent year on year to P7.7 billion in 2022, a result the conglomerate said was mainly due to higher contributions from its banking and real estate businesses.
Counting one-off items such as gains from a Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) property sale and Globe Telecom Inc.'s partial sale of its data center business and several towers, among others, net income was flat at P27.4 billion.
