Murrell crowned new PBA Slam Dunk king

Even in the absence of athletic Barangay Ginebra wingman Jamie Malonzo, Converge's high-flying forward David Murrell and Blackwater's Tyrus Hill provided the electrifying high-wire acts during the Slam Dunk Contest in the 2023 PBA All-Star Weekend on Friday.

The 26-year-old Murrell amassed 92 points for his pair of dunks to outpoint Hill, who had 91 in the final round on the way to capturing the Slam Dunk title.
