THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) on Friday said that at
least P15 million funding will be allotted to help fisherfolks affected by the oil spill brought by the sunken vessel off the coast of Naujan, Batangas.
In an interview, BFAR Spokesman Nazario Briguera added that the amount is in addition to the P4 million released by the agency to provide alternative livelihood to the fishers displaced by the ban being implemented in Oriental Mindoro amid the oil slick from MT Princess Empress.
