Mussel farming boosts income of Daram fishers

MUSSEL farming is boosting the income of fishers in Barangay Baclayan, Daram Island, Samar, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 8 (Eastern Visayas).

BFAR said that the 40 members of the Baclayan Mussel and Crab Fishers Association (BMCA) can earn between P14,000 and P70,000 per cropping from the long-line mussel farming.
