BELMONT Hotel Manila is pleased to share its recent participation in Department of Tourism's (DoT) Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training. The DoT-initiated program is designed to promote service excellence in all tourism related establishments and equip participants with uniquely top notch Filipino customer service standards. DoT is aiming to achieve 100,000 well-trained individuals. Belmont Hotel Manila together with its sister hotels under the Megaworld Hotels and Resorts brand simultaneously executed the training.
Spearheading the day's agenda was DoT trainer Gil Tesoro Regondola, who accomplished a highly engaging and insightful module. A notable lesson in the session was the 7 Ms of Filipino values. These 7 Ms were gathered by researchers through random interviews on what people think are the top Filipino traits and values.
Belmont Hotel Manila's Rooms Controller Rence Orendain expressed his appreciation for the program. 'I left the training feeling energized and inspired to serve our guests better. This training has reminded me that the very Filipino values that were taught to me by my parents are the very same values that make Filipinos the most hospitable in the world.'
Present to give attendees further insight on this initiative was none other than DoT-NCR Regional Director Sharlene Batin who delivered an inspiring closing message. 'The Filipino Brand of Excellence of Service is an international standard that you can be proud of. It is not just endemic to the Philippines but something that other countries can emulate. The Filipino brand of service is us. It's the Filipinos.'
